Who pays less, and who enters free?
The reduced ticket is for people over 65, students up to 25, people with a disability from 33% to 65%, and adults of large families, with an official document. Children up to 13 enter free with an adult. The Cabildo also lists as free people born or resident in the diocese of Seville, people with a disability above 65%, and unemployed Spanish nationals, always with a document. The rules for children say that under 14 must always be accompanied.
How do I buy and enter?
The Cabildo recommends buying online. Capacity is limited, the time on the ticket is your entry time, and there is no limit on how long you stay after that, within the closing time. With an online ticket you enter by the Puerta del Lagarto, on the north side, from the Patio de los Naranjos. If you buy at the ticket office, it is at the Puerta del Príncipe, on the south arm of the transept. The visit starts at the Giralda, which has its own access control.
Tickets are not refunded or exchanged, except for reasons attributable to the Cabildo. If you arrive late or do not come, there is no refund, and once your ticket is validated you cannot leave and come back in. Check the opening hours before you choose a date: Sunday opens in the afternoon.
What are the tickets sold by Tiqets?
Tiqets is a ticket marketplace and our partner. Official ticket: 13 euros online (14 at the ticket office). Skip-the-line ticket via Tiqets, for the cathedral and the Giralda: 18 euros at the time of writing. The Tiqets listing offers skip-the-line entry and instant delivery of the ticket for the date you choose, and lists the Church of El Salvador as included. Compare the two before you book and choose the one that suits how you want to buy.
The Cabildo says on its official site that it does not handle claims for tickets bought from third parties. That includes Tiqets, so read the terms on the product page, in particular the cancellation conditions. Our tickets page lists the options with live prices.
Guided tours and the roofs
Tiqets sells a guided tour of the cathedral and the Giralda, a skip-the-line ticket with a guided tour in English, and a guided roof tour. The Tiqets roof tour does not include the Giralda climb. The Cabildo sells its own roof tour at 20 euros online and says it is suspended in bad weather. The Cabildo says its own guided tour of the cathedral and the Giralda runs in English and Spanish, and lasts about 1.5 hours. Tiqets does not list the guide languages on its basic guided tour, so check the product page.
Which option should I choose?
If you want to go at your own pace and pay the least, buy the general ticket on the official site. A Tiqets ticket makes sense if you want skip-the-line entry and instant delivery, a guided tour or a combined ticket with the Royal Alcázar, or if you simply prefer to buy through them. Whichever you pick, read how to get there so you arrive at the right door at the time on your ticket.
